What brand is JAG?
JAG is an Australian women’s and men’s clothing brand sold throughout Australia in retail stores, concession stores and online. From minimalist basics to iconic washed denims, the brand has long maintained its fashionable yet practical approach to clothing. The brand strives to use more circular materials, such as recycled cotton and the innovative Lenzing Refibra, which is made from 30 percent upcycled cotton scraps generated during garment manufacturing. But like many iconic Australian brands, Jag was founded at a time when shoppers were more concerned about a fashion faux pas than the industry’s contribution to the looming climate crisis.
In 2001, Colorado Group bought out JAG and relaunched the brand in 2002 with the Elizabeth Jaggar campaign…. At a time when large corporations often take little responsibility for their environmental footprint and the responsibility is then shifted to individuals to make a difference, it’s refreshing to know that I can comfortably go to Jag and buy brand new pieces.
