I love drawing and went to some short classes and a fashion school to learn more about what I love — art, design% 26 fashion. I set up this illustration by building a life-size canvas on a lightbox, onto which I collaged acetate paper on three glass surfaces to create depth and shadow. Grace Lynne Haynes, a Californian living in New Jersey, studied illustration before turning to painting as an opening member of Kehinde Wiley’s Black Rock Senegal residency.
