Garuda SS was created by autodidactic designer Suhail Sahrawat and takes its name from both the mythical warrior bird from the Indian subcontinent and from the army regiment to which the founder’s father belonged. From his talent for dropping the hottest silhouettes, using his own logo as a work of art, and putting together an incredible range of colors on each piece, JAYWALKING*^ dominates the wardrobe of the Indian sneakerhead community. In fact, there is a whole list of luxury brands that many of us think are European but are actually as Indian as possible. La Opala, who are among the pioneers of high-end tableware, may have a French name, but both their products and the company itself are completely Indian.
